From the Desk of the Principal: Eldorado is in the midst of a restructuring program that has taken years’ worth of data and input and challenged the entire faculty and staff to enhance what we teach your student and how we teach your student. This past year has seen the successful implementation of our Freshman Academy, geared towards transitioning middle school students into successful, focused, organized high school students. We’ve found that smaller learning communities, such as the Freshman Academy encourage greater student connectivity to schools. The Freshman Academy focuses on research-based test-taking strategies and preliminary leadership skills. The Sophomore Academy is geared towards proficiency preparation, enhancing reflective abilities and improving organizational skills. Additionally, we’ve created the Phoenix Credit Retrieval Academy that will enable many of our credit deficient students the opportunity to get caught up with credits, while being connected to grade-level classes and school-based activities and athletics. nouncements nts, students, tachers, administrators, staff and community members are invited to our Youth Risk Behavior (YRBS) Community Workshops. We will be covering the following:
