The Parenting Project

offers a series of programs for parents and families. The following programs are being offered:
  * BabyCare - for parents of infants birth to 6 months of age
  * Nurturing Parents & Families - for parents of children ages 6 months to 5 years
  * ABC's of Parenting - for parents of children ages 5 to 10 years
  * ParenTeen Solutions - for parents and youth ages 11-17 years

Programs are available to parents free of charge. Children do not attend the BabyCare, Nurturing Parents & Families, ABC's of Parenting and Blended Families programs. Children ages 11 and older may attend ParenTeen Solutions with a parent or caregiver. Registration is available for Parenting Project programs Monday through Thursday from 8:00 am -8:30 pm and on Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. Parents must register for programs by calling 455-5295.

Adolescent Advantage"

is a new program offered by the Community Counseling Center of Southern Nevada, offering both a "Life Skills" and a "Substance Abuse" group. The program provides both education and counseling to children ages 11-17 years of age. Although not free, the Community Counseling Center offers a very reasonable sliding scale to assist families.
